Hey there!
My name is Toby Winograd, and I am a game designer with a focus on level design. I also have experience with narrative and systems design.
Combining my MFA experience in Game Design with my background in Screenwriting, the ethos of my professional career has been crafting immersive, exciting spaces and experiences. Whether that’s been for single-player or multiplayer, 2D or 3D, and whether it’s been at a studio, a game jam, or solo passion projects, I have spent my time in this industry expanding my skillset across a diverse roster of projects. This skillset includes initial-gray-boxing, creating spaces with proper pacing and meaningful player interactions, creating modular and polished tools and systems, drafting coherent and professional documentation, and more.
In addition to my skillset as a designer, one of my great priorities working within game development is helping foster a productive, safe environment for all my team members, predicated by comradery and defined by shared qualities and values. The only thing that’s more fun to me than developing games is developing games alongside an amazing team of likeminded, hard working artists, engineers, writers, and designers.
